1969 - Everton V Leeds away - I was there they ended our unbeaten run winning 2-1 - Joe Royle scored a fantastic header to make it 1-1 they scored a disputed goal in the last five minutes-

I was there also. Those were the days that I managed 40 league games a season.........never managing to get to the magic 42. Now it's one or two a season (and none in the last two years) Here is the goal from Joe

I was right behind that goal in the Leeds shed end full of blues fans with my older brother & his mates - we had a great footbal side they were a good side but dirty .....
That goal is on YouTube - Bally chipped it in Leeds keeper Sprake thought it was an easy catch - Joe thought otherwise with a sidewards sprint with his horrizontal dive to back head the ball over the keepers shoulder a fantastic goal......

It was on MOTD if there had been a goal of the season in those days that was it ,- thanks for that great photo ;)
