Reidy wore the number 10 shirt. His early games were alongside a certain Steve McMahon in the Everton engine room. They didn't really shine, as they were very similar. It was only when McMahon was sold to Villa, Reid took the lead role.

He did alright, didn't he?

Thanks. The original microfische of the Echo at Liverpool Library was very dark and I just photographed it. I look forward to the days when I can make more trips to Liverpool and copy more photos from the 50s and early 60s.

In her later years, my Mum went into a nursing home. When i used to visit her, there was an elderly bloke, who used to love talking about the blues. I heard a few of the staff calling him Cyril. Turns out it was Cyril Lello. Sound fella.. That was 1997, in a nursing home in croylands street, off Walton rd.
