Act of vandalism and showed (lower capacity) that we were lowering expectation. Spectacular idiocy given that possibly our best team was yet to win the league in '70. That main stand was majestic. Frightened the crap out of me let alone the oppo.

Not strictly Everton, so apologies, but, 49 years ago today, 16 December 1972, Alan Whittle made his Crystal Palace debut, after signing from Everton, scoring the fourth goal in a 5-0 rout of Manchester United. Just saying.
