The Latch again, this time scoring against Middlesborough, 28 December 1974

You speak for a lot of us, Edge.
It was a different, world back then, I bought that program of a lady selling them out of a window of a terrace house to the passing crowds directly in front of her doorstep,
We had been let off the coaches a mile or so away from the ground onto waste ground, no coppers, stewards anything about, so 6 coach loads of us were wandering about unescorted through the terrace streets of Derby, didn't see a copper till we arrived at the wrong side of the ground, then they came from everywhere.
Think the next time I went there, part the way up from the train station, all the houses had been barricaded with corrugated iron fences in front of them, as Man UNT or Chelsea had rioted there previously and smashed all the windows up, very surreal feeling walking up those streets again so different and lifeless.
The pitch at that ground was a disgrace as well.
