In his match report Charles Lambert states " Jones played a major part in it. Receiving the ball from Bernard in the 66th minute he made ground and spotted Latchford at the far side of the Derby penalty area. Latchford went up to the cross unchallenged and his header brushed off the inside of the far post into the net". During lock down last year I subscribed to an on line old newspaper research site and downloaded a large number of match reports to keep me occupied and help me identify more of my photos.

Wow Mick yes.........great shout. Never saw footage of it on TV, doubt there is any...... but standing in the street end it looked like he hit it from the half way line
