Keith Newton would have been 79 today. The Mancunian starred for Blackburn & Burnley. Never fully settled at Everton but won the League there. Calm on the ball & athletic, he would have excelled in present-day football

....and only 56 when he passed away. There is a view that the 1970 England World Cup team he played in was better than that of ‘66.
