!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and? I don't see your point mate.

Are you saying because we drew with Stoke, and they beat Spurs, then we should beat Spurs?

Each game is a different dynamic, and there are far too many factors to consider.

If Wolves beat the Kopites and then the Manc's, I would still expect to beat them at home.

Right, I was talking about it in a different context. I was saying that it's going to be tougher to get to top 6 this season because of two clubs that have improved.

No matter. Were getting nowhere.

mate!

lets get behind them and see what happens!

las year strikers this year defenders!

ok im thinking the worst at the mo but we have defo done it before and the top of the league was a lot stronger last year! more teams fighting for a top 4 spot mean more points dropped for them!

Sure, but we need to eradicate mistakes, and not cry about it after the game. Otherwise we have peaked at this generation of players. Remember we have only played Arsenal at home, we have a lot of tough games coming up.

we are 2 points better off at this point than last year!!

ok still [Poor language removed] but its somthing to hold on too!

This isn't a negative, but it's something worth considering Fozzy. :)

After 9 games last year, we had already faced Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man United, and had pretty much a full squad to play around with.
When we eventually got injuries, it was to our strikers first, but Fellaini, Cahill, Jags, Arteta, Baines, and later Pienaar all kicked ass, and the rest of the team played quite well.

We managed to introduce Rodwell and Gosling, and the team coped even with the loss of Arteta and later Jags.

Despite our bad start, we were suddenly playing out of our skin, and lady luck was helping out too with goals coming from all over the park.

This season, we still have a striker problem, in that Yakubu has just returned and is under par, Vaughan, and Anichebe are both injured, and dear Jo is looking a little like a lost lamb.

We have Arteta still out, and now Neville, and our midfield is further broken from a short term loss of Pienaar and dare I say it Osman.

Luckily, Rodwell is starting to gain experience and is looking like he can fight for his own place, and Fellaini is starting to get fit. We also have Bilyaletdinov who has shown potental.

Not only is our midfield broken, but our defense is in turmoil.
Jags 'will not' come back 100%, and I think he will be in and out for the rest of the year, as will Arteta.

Even when we get our strength back, whoever that may be, you must look at our up coming fixtures.

We will struggle to get points from our next 6 matches.

Then we have the busy Christmas period.

Then we will struggle to get points from our next 8 matches.
Then we have a run in facing all of the teams that are likely candidates for relegation, and they will be fighting for their Prem lives.

All this with cup competitions on top.

We probably won't have any money in January, and our budget might be in serious trouble if we go out of Europe and other cups.

It's important that a few of you have a real think about how our season is developing, and realise that we are in serious trouble here.

Forget Europe.
We need to keep our goal average intact, and start stealing some points, or we might be in the Championship next year, and if that happens, Everton will definitely have to sell our players to pay bills.

Kneejerk?

Nope. Time to get realistic and open our eyes, and not think we have a divine right to stay in the Prem. :(

On a positive note, I'm able to have a lie in tomorrow.

Here's a pic to cheer us up :lol::lol:

If Arteta comes back before Neville, presuming Pienaar and co are back, I don't think we'll see Neville in the first 11 for some time.

Arteta
Pienaar
Bilyaletdinov
Rodders
Osman
Gosling
Cahill
Fellaini
Peterlin
Wallace

I really don't see Neville pushing his way back in.

He isn't the future of Everton even if he is / was, a big part of the past. Moyes will look to get the younger players gelling as quick as possible.
He'll become a squad player at best.
Moyes was already after Banega too if we remember.

Only my opinion though.
