No biggie, but I remember Yakubu going to shoot against SK Brann before dragging it inside and slotting with his left. This while two defenders slid about 30 yards past him at the same time.
It was Blackburn on the opening day just before half time. I missed it cos I’d already gone down to get the beers in, then we lost to a last minute goal by some utter yard dog. Everton that.I remember Arteta scoring a free kick against Hull maybe(?) not far from the corner flag. Can’t find a video anywhere and remember at the time being astounded that more wasn’t made of the goal as it went in clean
Why am I not surprised we lost that game. Absolutely cracking goal though I hope the beers were worth it!It was Blackburn on the opening day just before half time. I missed it cos I’d already gone down to get the beers in, then we lost to a last minute goal by some utter yard dog. Everton that.
It was in the Chang days, so no, not really. Why am I not surprised we lost that game. Absolutely cracking goal though I hope the beers were worth it!

I think it was MireillesYakubu going off the ball to take out...Carragher(?) and kept on running, no foul from the ref. That was hysterical.
*edit* ah here we are

I was at GP to see George Graham's Arsenal beat us 3-1 (88-89 I think) and we gave them a standing ovation.I remember we applauded Arsenal off the pitch at Goodison too.
They were brilliant, it was like grown men playing the under 10,s.
I think he complained more about Rooney putting his hands on his hips than him putting his foot on the ball. Haha.I seem to remember the defender he took the rip out of (Darren Moore?) complained after the game about a lack of respect, the tit.
I was in the Gwladys Street that day. The place went berserk. Are you talking about the Harvey goal which he scored in the 2-0 victory over WBA to win the league? the one I referred to was in a 4-0 victory the previous year - think Bally got a H/T as well. Remember the Sharp goal well - that WAS in the Park end...sent Gerald Sinstadt the commentator into raptures lollol.
His Everton career lasted 18 minutes. Is that a record? Not quite a "Oh my, has he just done that" moment, more of a "WTF has he just done" moment.
Glenn Keeley's pull back on Dogleash
He later admitted that he expected a booking, but was unaware of a recent rule change which meant straight red for a 'professional' foul.
