Azz i like Oasis lad, although they have robbed half the beatles riffs (right word? I'm not very musical)
Urban Hymns by The Verve is one of my favorourite albums though, superb stuff, but like you i am an oasis fan to (even if they are mancs)

I think Rodders likes Oasis. If you say Paul Weller is rubbish he'll appear in no time![]()

Radiohead are massively under-rated.
Im talking modern day here, in full agreeance with the bands named above like.
Got that right
Oasis and The Jam are my absolute favouritist bands ever, but I don't think either of them are the best band ever. If anyone at all qualifies for that title then surely it's The Beatles.
I don't really care that people say Oasis are rubbish, unoriginal etc. Fact of the matter is that their music means a lot to a lot of people, me included. And I don't accept that they haven't evolved either. Definitely Maybe was a quality album (and by far their best), but if you contrast it to their latest record the sound is totally unrecognisable. They've matured as a band, Noel's matured as a song writer and even Liam is managing to write some decent tunes now as well. Liam's got more talent in his left bollock than a lot of the [Poor language removed] indie/dance/rave bands that many people my age listen to have in their entire line ups.
Azzy, I'm seeing them at Wembley stadium in July, think there's still a few tickets left for one of the dates, you should go. It'll be epic.
Oh, and if anyone so much as dares to say Weller is rubbish they're getting an infraction![]()
I'll let Welton defend Paul Weller, since he does that well enough and I agree with everything he says on that subject.
But Oasis? What Robbie Williams is to solo male singers, they are to groups.
