I’ve always maintained that it’ll go tits up there. It always does. They can’t shake being a desperate club who often drop into the lower divisions. This idea they are a huge club is fabricated nonsense (like Leeds). Once they lose Bruno then they will slide.

That midfield of theirs really patches over the rest of the team being bang average imo. The likes of Bruno bought in early thinking everything would follow- it clearly isn't going to now though. You could see the likes of him, Tonali etc pushing for moves sooner rather than later.

Of course! But always nice to see other teams failing almost as badly. At least we ended it with a world class stadium.

Factor in the rs spending over 500m too and being just 2 points above us is surreal.

Indeed. they have made very little attempt too increase the commercial revenues there which are so key to everything these days.

They are predicting revenue has gone from £140m pre PIF in 2021 to over £400m in this years accounts so they have done a decent bit of work to be fair considering you have to build gradually and show fair market value etc

I was saying that to my father in law today as he is a toon fan as we live up here. Feels like it’s gone very quiet on the stadium front which aligns with PIF supposedly pulling back on their sporting ventures.

The can't touch the small stand opposite the camera, so just continue the build behind the goal, they own that land.
