Ah lads we lost, 22 years plucky old Everton. Sick to death of this attitude, if Koeman had of been in charge tonight we would be livid.....

Can't beat Chelsea reserves blah blah blah....

Better than crap we've been served so far this season granted..

But still NSNO

I hate Ashley Williams

Crap first half, good second.

Chelsea sat on a one goal lead and we had a real go at them.
The thing with the first half is it was more or less a nothing half and if Williams could have focused enough to mark on the only corner they had we may have gone in 0-0. They basically had 3 chances in the match- the two goals and the Michy one that Jags got to first which we created for them. Positive signs

Keep it tight for an hour!! I really can’t remember the last time that tactic worked for an Everton side.. was it at Bayern in 85 or with a 2-0 lead at Villa (losing 1-0 but making the Milk Cup Final in 84)?

Plus we must be the only team capable of losing 3-2 when 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go and a penalty chance for 3-0 (West Ham 15-16)

My favorite thing is going on the Chelsea forum and seeing people losing it over the ref for not protecting them enough. Go right at them Everton
Then tell them to stop being so dramatic with everything. When Rudiger stayed on the ground for 2 minutes after getting bumped legally and we played on, only to come after Mirallas deliberately I lost it. Everyone knew he was fine and was pouting because he lost out to DCL. You want to be protected, stop being drama queens.

The 3 times we played Chelsea under Koeman we lost something like 15-0 on aggregate. I for one was proud of that performance today. Get some perspective everyone. No one is happy losing, but I am happy to see signs of life after the absolute mess we've been all season.

Whilst losing is clearly not good enough I think anyone would say that performance in the second half showed us all some hope which has been an unavailable commodity under the Koeman regime as we seemed totally bereft of hope, a plan, tactics etc.
I don’t think the up will last and I am not an ‘Unsy for the job because he is passionate’ person but I did certainly see a difference.
