so we arent allowed to learn lessons and highlight weakpoints when we win?

the side has to keep evolving, progress - iron out the mistakes and sloppy play and most importantly the sloppy attitudes where complacency sets in.

as for lescott, we might see him up field from CB for set pieces. we have seen him push up and use possession from LB, lets not confuse the two.

you mention the derby, lescott was LB

stubbs and yobo were CB's that day.

sorry to put a hole/chasm/planet sized protrusion (delete where appropriate) in your theory there.

ov corse we are,but all you'v done is condem the team for everything. it was never as bad as you said. you cant batter every team you play , thats football. your living in a dream world if your looking for a perfect team. one week you play well , the next poor.

to tell you the trooth. i dont give a fukk how we play really as long as we win. rather see us play shiite an win the league than play well an finish 16th. last night was'nt that bad. i think you'v gone off the deep end.

dont know about you but i spend every penny i have going home and away to support the club id die for. an it piss's me off to here some of the shiite your coming out with......normaly i like what you post but not tonight.

go on take the piss out of the grammer???????

Suits I agree that we were not on top of our game ,But the changes in the team did not help we are not strong enough (squad wise) and it showed but we deserved to win I maybe wrong but Howard only had one save to make ok they got into good positions a couple of times, but a missed pen and hitting the woodwork twice easily beats that while I think Zenit deserve credit for the way they played with ten men so come on Suits give them a break we are making progress and this is a fan who gives Moyes a bit of stick at times(y)

it took lescott surging forward and pressurising with possession to give us the impetus to score tonight.

johnson should have taken the penalty
artetas free kick was unlucky
as was carsley to see his shot rebound into open play

i wasnt taking the piss earlier, i thought you were misspelling my moniker on purpose.

'SB' is just fine.

i got into some overblown debate with ghost after the spurs game, we all have our opinions, what i dont and will never abide by is the acceptance of mediocrity, you say we cant batter every side we play - granted, but i expect passes to feet to runners into space - zenit showed us how to do it, with just ten men. for over five minutes they were down to 9 men and we couldnt capitalize.

as for giving a fook about how we play, this is everton, i have been kicked in the teeth by so called bad luck that many times following our club that all i can eat nowadays is soup. - we cant rely on dodgy decisions and the run of the ball, we have to play properly. i can accept the odd bad day at the office, but im going to struggle to gloss over what i see as choosing ineptitude. they just stopped last night, as if it was job done, and zenit flourished.

Heres how I seen it: We were on top til the sending off but struggled to score with McFadden and Johnson up front. We then sauntered along and scored near the end so I was made up and enjoyed a post match Magners.

Apologies for the indepth analysis.

Good evening Suits my old mucker(y)

were you satisfied with ''sauntered'' ?

I thought we had an off night mate, one of them isnt it - we didnt play well but won. Im made up that were capable of that.

Perhaps its was the switching to 4-4-2, maybe it was the four changes.

But didnt think Zenit troubled us, even with 11 on the pitch.

Its mad how you see things differently isnt it? I thought Carsley was one of our better players and I thought McFadden was ineffective, Johnson wasnt much better either.

We were crap because we changed our formation. 4-4-2 after enjoying success wit 4-5-1 was a mistake. The other mistake was to play Cahill in a four man midfield. It will never work. Granted he scored but the midfield never worked all night. Moyes was at fault in my opinion. At least last night answered the question of whether to keep McFadden!!!

did you see how arteta sat back and distributed from carsleys spec for the final 15-20 minutes of the second half?

thats rare that, like steak - that is herded past your table in a restaurant.

we didnt play well at pompey, pompey who had the better chances and possession.

hi monts, your take on yesterday evenings proceedings ?

It is already in the threads pal, we played sufficient well to win. Their man should never have been sent off, it was never a penalty in the first place making the ref into something of a tosser. I was surprised we played with midgets up front especially with Yobo out from set pieces. DM must have promised both Faddy and AJ games from the off, I can't think of any other logical reason for it. Jags looks to me as though he won't make the grade and that is a pity because he's a blue.

Our undefeated run goes on, we won our division, longest day of the year is nigh, everything will soon be on the up, COYB (y)
