Non League Football

What's Marine like? They're getting big attendances this season, surely they'll end up going up a league or two if they can keep that number of fans on a regular basis.

The maximum we can go is the division above I believe, as we don’t meet the criteria.

Great day out £10, can drink on the terrace, and just a great vibe. Everything Everton isn’t.

In the same league as Bootle, Prescot, City Of Liverpool (Ellesmere Port lol ), and a few other locals like Widnes, Warrington and Runcorn too, so loads of good rivalries and days out.

Did Widnes yesterday and won 3-2. 5 clear with a game in hand on second.

Next Home game is 11th December against Ramsbottom and then 3 more on the run, including Bootle on 27th Dec.

The untimely death of Brazilian great Socrates ten years ago was remembered at Corinthian Casuals today. Socrates played for the Brazilian Corinthians, formed as a result of a tour by the British version in the early days of foreign football tours. The link was cemented on the centenary of the Brazilian club when Corinthian Casuals we’re invited to Brazil to play the centenary game. A slightly one sided encounter in front of tens of thousands (crowds gathered at the airport and in the streets to cheer the British amateurs) was enhanced when the great Socrates himself donned the chocolate and pink of the South London side for part of the second half.
A coach load of Brazilian Corinthian fan expats made for a great atmosphere, there were fireworks and samba music aplenty. Well done Corinthian Casuals, a great afternoon.
Terrible game though, finished 1-1 on a boggy pitch in blustery conditions

A shame the premier league didn’t support this
@Alan Whittle , if you haven’t seen this documentary about Corinthian Casuals it’s on the bt sport website ( if you’ve got a subscription)
