Non League Football

Don’t know what happened to Eddie Simon @Alan Whittle. Straight red with the ball nowhere near - can only assume mega-dissent (if that’s a thing 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️). We were well on top before that TBF. Hoping we can now win it at Littlehampton on Saturday - taking two coaches, and likely to be messy… 🙄🤣🍺
Good luck on Saturday. Eddie normally has a bit to say!

Time for COLFC to call it a day?

When they started, they aimed to be bring non league footy to the city but have been beaten to it by South Liverpool and Lower Breck. Not only that they seem to move further away from the city every season, I think they're in Burscough now. They should change their name to Anywhere But Liverpool FC

Relegated back to the NWCL and they're getting smashed every week.

Paul Manning has been the chairman since day one but they're fan owned. I assume democracy isn't a thing at the club and he's scrapped elections?

Last season - he was going to hand over to fans, but changed his ind last second, after failing to hand over the books, all a bit suspicious if you ask me.

Gates showing about 100, but theres probably a slither of that.

Theres no point anymore. Can add MSB Woolton in there too, who play in the city too.

Sefton Derby today,
Southport Vs. Marine

Sadly a 3rd place game of FA Trophy really, but atill lots to play for, after last week's cup exits for both sides.

Marine still got hopes of playoffs, Southport top half.

Hopefully a few last min arrivals and it beats last seasons crowd. Marine has sold just a shade over 500 as of last night, I think we took 688 last season.

First visit of the season to one of my old stomping grounds and unfortunately Beckenham lost 7-0 at home to Eastbourne town 😄13131.webp

I’m off to watch our lads away at Bacup today @barneygumble

We’ve dropped out of the play off places now after losing last 2 home games against squires gate and Nelson.

We aren’t realistically ready to go into the NWCL premier yet anyway, so nobody too upset about it.

The prem is a tough league and there’s no joy in going up and being whipping boys. Plus it’s basically playing twice a week.

We aren’t in a great catchment area for players, unlike the likes of Magull and possibly Woolton, so just hoping to get a couple more wins to end the season.

Decent 2nd season in NWCL north, so all about building for next year now.

Soz for being 'uneducated' mate, but I have no idea what team you're talking about...

Another great win for my team yesterday which has moved us up to 10th in the table, 7 points from 9 this week, 2 of them being tough away games

FT.
Flint mountain 1 - Holyhead Hotspur 2
(Played at Prestatyn Town’s Bastion Gardens…… what a dump)

Good luck. We've got Colne away today, but will be at home.

Going to Woolton at home on Monday, which will be a good turnout and hopefully good weather. Will take my 3-year old, sd its a bit more spacious than Marine.

Hope you do the business today, playoffs still within reach.

What did you make of yesterday's performance Barn. Thought we were poor first half and good second half. On the balance of play, I'm not sure we deserved to lose.

Also, without having watched any replays, I'm not entirely sure if the keeper was at fault for both of their goals.

Thought we were second best yesterday. We didnt get a break all game, but we were sloppy in possession.

Goalkeeper needed to do more for the first, if you get a palm on it, you should he saving it.

Lads have been pulled pillar to post in recent weeks, fatigue is a given. We go again on Monday, was great to have quite the crowd there again. It felt like it was about 800 there.

Injuries have taken their toll this season too. It sort of goes unnoticed at this level, because you can move instantly to provide cover, but it doesn't help, does it! A fairly settled team would be a massive help.

Weve got

Gregson, Butler, Marsden, Hunter all on long term injuries.

Then youve got McDonald, Newell who are clearly well below match fit, the problem is, with games 3 times a week, its hard to even recharge.

Been a bruising 2026. Those players have been immense for weeks now. A disappointing day yesterday but quite the transformation, from 300 averages to that away following.
