We best Woolton 1-0, a very hard fought victory.

Saw Maghull / Droylesden ended 1-1, we are level on points with Maghull on same games played and back into a play off place.

Still waiting to hear about the cup, but looks like they are going to kick Didsbury & Chorlton out and we will play Burscough in the semi.

Maghull lost 2-1.

5 games left and 3 are against the bottom 4, with a biggin against Woolton on Easter Monday.

Hopefully can push on make playoffs too, but for counties level, theyve been asked a lot of, of late including 5 rescheduled games at Holker

Cables drew 2-2 with Cleethorpes, apparently the Cleethorpes equaliser from a corner was never a corner, but I was answering a text and looked up to see it going in !. Hyde lost so it opens a bit of a gap.

Ahh so they did! Thought they had drawn for some reason.

Holker dropping points to afc Blackpool was a bit of a surprise.

We play Nelson and squires gate next 2 home games. Also got Fulwood, Bacup away and finish off at home to Garstang who have improved.

I’ll actually be surprised if we make play offs but you never know.

That Ashford ground is great. Nice big covered terrace along one side and a huge industrial plant (gas works?) behind one goal.

Shared our place for a season a few years back - might be a possibility again? The women’s team plays at the Grove as well, so it’s already being used twice in a weekend at points. Mind you, we’ve had our own issues with postponements. It’s a great surface most of the time but it’s laid over a spring. When the river floods, so does the pitch.

Read that earlier. Not a great location for the genuine Kingstonians but a decent facility and good to have it sorted.

RPV still managed by Hayden Bird? He was very good at K's in c2019-21 but left due to a reduced playing budget and was at your place for a while. I think he quit after losing a play off final to Marlow. (I went to that).

They are. Left by mutual consent is the official line but he wasn’t actually very popular, and he definitely isn’t now. Didn’t have a very good rapport with the supporters’ club and volunteers, and when he went, he took a good chunk of the squad with him.

So the NWCL have accepted that Chorlton and Didsbury did field ineligible players in our cup QF with them, but rather than award us the tie, have bottled it completely and are claiming the league rule is ambiguous, so are making us play it again.

Ridiculous.

We even have to go there again for the replay.

Thats annoying. At this stage of the season too? I dont think either side will want that.

They fielded 2 ineligible players, can’t remember their names though.

They’d just appointed a new manager the week before we played them.

It’s an extra fixture neither side needs that’s for sure, both top end of respective leagues.

Squires Gate at home tomorrow, as you can see we really could do with a win tomorrow.

Maghull away at Maine Rd, who are slightly adrift at bottom (an achievement given tightness of league).

Given the perils of Marine's annoying afterthought and their inevitable folding, i cant see them going outside of Pyramid mind...

If marine have nothing riding on it, I think Woolton on Easter Monday is calling me.

Think Maghull could do with you drawing tomorrow, but if they cant beat Maine Road, I think itll be a hard slog to make playoffs, as they've lost 5 in a row, allegedly

I will try my best to be there.

I never realise how busy i make my weekends until you realise Maghull are 4th in pecking order.

Maghull get great crowds would be great to face some biggish names on the Premier should they go up. Beating Nelson or Droylsden away is a whole different matter mind, finishing 3rd massive for both of us.
