Non League Football

😊
I see that the rearranged Tanners v K's game is down for 1 AprilšŸ˜‚
A few rumours going around that K's are off in their travels again next season as the Raynes Park Vale pitch isn't up to more than one team (and not even that really). That will be their 5th different ground share since 2017. Wednesdays game v Binfield is at Ashford. The third home game K's have had to move there out of the last 4.
That Ashford ground is great. Nice big covered terrace along one side and a huge industrial plant (gas works?) behind one goal. 🤣

Shared our place for a season a few years back - might be a possibility again? The women’s team plays at the Grove as well, so it’s already being used twice in a weekend at points. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøMind you, we’ve had our own issues with postponements. It’s a great surface most of the time but it’s laid over a spring. šŸ™„ When the river floods, so does the pitch.

Re-arranged fixture tonight v Woolton MSB here.

Love a night game under the floodlights.

We really need a win to stay in the play off mix.

The league is the tightest league in the whole pyramid.

Last week there was technically only 3 teams in the division who still couldn’t go up!

Woolton tonight, Squires Gate Saturday both at home. Desperately need 6 points.

Maghull are away at Droylsden tonight, another huge game up there.

Droylsden were rather unsavoury when they visited Maghull earlier in the season, so away win please.

We best Woolton 1-0, a very hard fought victory.

Saw Maghull / Droylesden ended 1-1, we are level on points with Maghull on same games played and back into a play off place.

Still waiting to hear about the cup, but looks like they are going to kick Didsbury & Chorlton out and we will play Burscough in the semi.

I went ground hopping at Droylsden pre COVID, the year South Shields romped the league and before Droylsden went bust obviously. What struck me was how grim Manchester becomes really quickly once you’re a couple of tram stops out of the centre, same going to Salford City.

Yepp, all game you scouse this.

Called them out, as had my little lad eith me, and they still tried to kick off.

Proper complex area. Likewise with Tameside.

Droylsden 2-1 Maghull.
