Vlasic, if he doesn't go the way of besic and pick up serious injuries will be a top player one day. Sadly think it won't be here because he couldn't get in ahead of one of the boys.

He is only 19, I don't expect him to be a top player for years yet, he has talent but I wish we had a manager here who would want to get that talent on the pitch over the likes of bolasie who has offered very little.

I think it's forgotten sometimes that these players like lookman, vlasic, Davies, are all at the start of their careers still. I don't want us to ever just build a team of just young players, but i want us to make a squad out of them. Give them chances, make them want to be here.

Part of the reason we are in the mess that we are in is down to this, managers picking senior players constantly over young ones and not giving them the chance to offer something 'different and exciting. Only Davies has been given chances this season but always at the deep end.

But he played last week and was average at best,I know it's only one game but you'd really want a truly talented player to grab his chance with both hands.

See this is my point though. Goes for any player really but especially the younger ones.

You give them one game in however many months and they don't light up the pitch so they are dropped again . How are they meant to adapt? To improve? Players need to be playing regularly even if at first it is 20-30 minutes a game to earn a place in the team.

The top clubs actually do play their youngsters and they improve. Lingaard, Rashford at United, Liverpool with their ones arsenal do it regularly, city trusting the likes of Jesus in the team (even if he was bought). They have young players improve because of game time, when was the last time we did that with a youngster? Lewen played a lot but that's because we had no-one else to play there. A forced move rather than us giving him a chance. The last genuine youngster I can think of is probably Barkley 5 years ago.

You can tell he’s class just by watching him, yet Sam favours “one of the boys” who fail to perform week in week out
he's definitely 'got something' as they say, he's still working out where he fits and what works, but there is something there and looks like he has real drive too. That drive and skillset couple with a low center of gravity, there something of unpolished version of alexis sanchez about him, one any forward thinking manager would invest in

Your talking as if you know tomorrows team already,he might play the last two.

Davis, DCL, Beni, Holgate, Kenny?
Dcl was a forced move in all fairness
Holgate dropped for no reason back in January
Kenny had no other option again.
Beni hardly gets a game and was only promoted because of unsworth again to be fair.
