Agreed. Brands can't give Mirallas away - Belgian Second Division quality by now.

Would have liked to see Vlasic stick and fight but probably best for both sides and a tidy profit.

When you see the likes of de Bruyne and salah being sold after only making a few sporadic appearances and then go and become global footballing stars it just shows you that mistakes can happen

I think this was less of a case of Silva not rating him and more a case that Vlasic wanted to be starting regularly and Silva didn't think he should be starting just yet

And to be fair, who would you start him ahead of at this current moment?

Ultimately this just comes down to unfortunate timing for me. Vlasic is at that stage where he wants to play all the time and we just can't offer him that right now

I'm sure Silva knows he has potential and rates him

We were never going to make significantly more on him selling to a Russian club.

If he is not wanted, then I would prefer things to be dealt with in an efficient manner so both player and club move on promptly.

Clearly he did not want to stay and equally wanted to continue on at CSKA.

Whilst he has done well there, lets not forget the standard is very much lower and it is not as if he had the giants of European football seeking his services.

Overall a very minor footnote in our history, I didn't much like his attitude, and he will be quickly forgotten.

Great news. Great price for a painfully average footballer that doesn't suit the way Silva teams play at all and has barely played for us.

Even in the highly unlikely event he turns into a good player, we'll make money when he's inevitably poached from CSKA.

Get Lookman and Onyekuru out for profits now, plus the football league fodder like Bolasie, Sandro and Mirallas and we should be able to bring in some players that would actually improve the squad.
