Impressed me today aside from his one horrendous attempt at a finish.

Took his goal very well. Last season he would have snatched at that or took too long. Did well. Enough time to create the opportunity, quick enough to take it.

His hold up play was also a lot better. Won a few great headers and linked up well with other forward players.

If he's like that all season I'll be very happy indeed. Hang on, maybe not. If he's like that all season he'll get sent off every game the loon.

Agreed he looks far more composed and is playing as an out and out striker, not once did he go down the channels today and if he had he wouldn't have been in place to score his goal and beat his man before fluffing wide.

Excited for him to be on form next season!

I thought he looked alot better but he did run down channels. He did it also when he first arrived and it did not stop him getting goals. He had enough chances last season to score 20 plus goals easily.

The lad went right through the back of him and put his forearm in the back of Jelavic's head. Jelavic was FYYYUMING lad.

he got kicked, the other guy kicked him back. let's play ball lads. free-kick and move on. i know it's not great to whitness, but we get enough red cards in football for petty little things these days, don't want to teach emotion out of the sport.

was good to see him starting today though, must mean he's well in martinez' plans for the season, much brighter than last week IMO
