We should take 8 million if we can get it, depending on how much we've paid Rangers so far it could be double what we paid for him. 8 million would be a decent amount to put towards a new striker.

Blips don't last this long. We've been waiting for him to get better for over 6 months, and he's got worse. It isn't just the lack of goals, every time he gets the ball he looks like he's going to lose it.

I don't. I can see how badly he is playing, don't get me wrong. But, he was superb just a few months ago.

People say he has been awful 'for a few months', he has been poor for us for longer than he was actually good.

He only performed in a 3-4 month period for us, this season he has had double that amount of time and been nowhere near as good.

Let him get this season over with and have a full pre season and if he doesnt come good by january then sell him . I we get rid and turns out good again we will be shooting ourselfes . We have money to spend so lets see with an improved team if he can get back on track

Superb? He was decent up until he scored the winner against Sunderland. After then it's been one long goal drought after another.

I can't tell you why he's become so bad but he has. Maybe defenders have just got him sussed, but when you take away the goals you're left with a player who is a bit slow, not particularly strong or good in the air, has a poor touch, can't take a player on, make a pass, keep onside and who seems pretty selfish on the ball.

Having said that, there's no player i enjoy scoring for us more.

I wouldn't sell him at all.

He's had a very bad season, but goal scorers who can put the ball in the net with one touch are not that easy to find.

We picked him up for next to nothing, so let's at least give the guy till January - then if he's still on a poor run of form, sell him.

For me, if we picked up another striker who can score goals, it's more competition for places and hopefully give him his confidence back.

Yak improved because he moved to Blackburn, it happened whenever he switched clubs. He must just get bored in one place. If we'd kept hold of him he wouldn't have scored those goals.

love strikers like that, don't care if they do feck all game, if they pop up in the 90th min and score the winner with there first touch then so be it. They're paid to score and win games. jelavic has that goalscoring instinct that you can't teach, he's been asked to do too much running for my liking and as a consequence wasn't in the area half as much = goals drying up = massive loss in confidence.

not saying £8m wouldn't be a good deal based on this season, but we can't keep writing strikers off after they've had one season. we already need one striker in the summer, two if vellios isn't all he's cracked up to be. I wouldn't trust our wankstain of a chairman to put the transfer fee back into the transfer kitty and therefore we'd be left with 1/2 mid table standard strikers for a team trying to challenge for europe's elite competition.
