Watching last night's game feeling immensely upset that we couldn't get ourselves a Benteke level striker for this season.
Whatever the reason for his dip in form, regardless of how we couldn't have maybe foreseen this after his high levels last year, we have played this season without a striker- our entire team has shared the goals quite nicely.
I sat and agreed with Moyes, if we had us a 15-20 goal striker, we would be in Champions league.
Villa scored 6 goals and are rubbish.
We allegedly create the most scoring chances in the league (and have the player who individually creates the most scoring chances in EUROPE) yet rarely win a game by greater than a 2 goal margin.
Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpiles, all going to strengthen in Summer, missed opportunity on our part-- I want him gone really, I stand by my threat that I'll hate him even more if he comes right next season. We needed it this year.

Whilst I agree , I have been thinking...
We 95% of the time play with 1 up top. Jelavic or vic this season. Between them they have got 15 goals. So in theroy our striker has provided 15 goals this season (albeit between 2 players)

Its a disagrace that the club didnt get a stiker in Jan, we could all see we needed, we needed one more then the rs who went out and spend 14 million on one plus another 13 million on an attacking player. How the hell are we still in the top 6? Jelavic had lost it, he lightweight, he the offside king. I'm just hoping we can a striker in this Summer.

No mate not really.I agree with you as they've only played a handful of games together and not many of their goals where scored while the other was on the pitch.
There's a few reasons we're a little bit short of where we'd hoped but strikers is a small one IMO.

Personally, wouldnt sell Jelavic, think he'll get over this season and be back to his usual self next season, having said that i still want us to bring in that top class striker i.e. Negredo. A strikeforce of Negredo, Jelavic(on form) and Anichebe would be a very good one IMO.
