At which point do we admit he's just not as good as his form last season suggested?

There's probably a few reasons why he's gone so off the boil after a decentish start this season, confidence, how he being asked to play, how we've played as a team, bad luck, possible behind the scenes issues.

His workrate is good, his movement is good, but he's not doing enough with the ball and not taking the chances he is getting.

Its all very well being able to score with 1 touch from a good ball but with the ball at his feet he just doesn't look good enough, and i was worried last season that that might be the case.

I'd say take his positives and negatives into account and he's a good mid table Prem striker. For £5 million quid we can't really grumble with what we got.

To be honest lad he's playing well, just not getting that luck he needs and he's kinda flapping infront of goal. It'll all come good though.

To drop him now would just deflate him further....a few weeks ago he looked tired and disinterested at times..... the past few weeks he seems to be working harder and seems a bit hungrier.... he will start scoring again of that I have no doubt at all....just hope it's very very soon ha ha

I wouldn't say he's playing well, I was a bit harsh when I said ****e but as you said he keeps flapping in front of goal and it's so frustrating to watch. Still love him though, mainly because his work rate is fantastic and you can see that he really cares.

Agree. Never wanted a player to score so much more than him!

Agreed.
I love him though, and as I said before he's actually showing some pride and passion for the club and wants the team to win, not just for him to score goals. Loves Everton and we all love him, get some goals Jela lad!

I'd still play Jela next week and use Vic as an impact sub, despite his ****e form.

This really. He's not playing piss poor, just not bagging the goals as he once did. If we need a goal late in the game you don't need someone to come on and play well but not score, you need someone to come on and score...roll up vic!

Let's face it if jelavic just ends up with 2 or 3 important FA cup goals it will all be good!!

Was a bit harsh when I said ****e, just not slotting them like last season. It's sad really because the work rate and attitude is there 100%.

i dont think they way and where felli plays is helping jelavic. They both want the same space sometimes and felli reaches balls that jela was going to get. Noticed that a couple of times today. Its affected his confidence but as felli is scoring you cant knock the dour one for persisting. He'll come good, maybe not this season but he'll be nearer 15 next season than 10. Bookmark this an you can do me mar if i'm wrong
