I think ours is £3 million per year you know.
Plus our brand is infinitely smaller than Liverpool's.
But it shouldn't be, and that's the point.
Even though the brand is smaller, there's no way it should be that much smaller.
Spurs have signed a £50m 5 year deal with Under Armour according to the Mirror. Still looking for details on Villa...
It galls me to agree but spot on mate and frankly i'm amazed we even get sky money given how bad we are at the buisness side of things. We should be looking at what Villa and Spurs are getting really. What Liverpool get is irrelevant. Their brand is so, so much bigger than ours that it's not fit for comparison.
do we really get sky money or is it another elstone story?!!! we've yet to see any of it..........
Spurs are a bad example to be honest as they've been in the CL and are above us.
I'm not defending us mind. We come across as woeful from a business and marketing perspective. I just don't think we should be comparing ourselves to Liverpool here.
Liverpool are ranked 4th in global shirt sales. We're well down from that. Even so, that's a massive difference in money. I've quoted the £3m verbatim from the OS. If that is for 5 years, I'm gob-smacked. Even if it is per year, it's not even a third of what Spurs are getting.

It's £3mil per year mate. I remember reading about it before.
We should be closer to Spurs' mind. I'd expect theirs to be better than ours, but not three times better.

It's not reading that way. The deal with Kitbag is worth £3m per year, but the agreement with Le Coq is worth just £3m. It said the same on the OS.
