Apparently black people are NOT getting shot by police all the time, interesting.
About two every three days nationwide it seems.
The US is roughly 60% white 15% blacks, 25% everyone else
2015 data had right at 16,000 murders in the US. 52% of which were black (89% by blacks), 43% white (81% by whites). Most people are murdered by someone they know, so that does make some sense on the high percentages.
So that's what, about 7000 backs killed by blacks, and a little less that 6000 whites killed by whites.
259 blacks were killed by police, 497 whites . That's justified, unjustified/criminal - total killed, not necessarily murdered.
2016-2017 stats are similar, but not as complete.
Way too many murders, period. Hell Chicago alone had 750 last year. I have no idea how many unjustified killings happen at the hands of police, and how many of those are blacks. But any is too many when law enforcement's job is to protect and serve. But it's not like blacks are being straight out murdered daily by police, as some would have you believe. However, about 20 per day are being murdered, not simply killed, but murdered in some form or fashion. At 15% of the population
I don't care what Kaepernick protests, it's a free country. I'd prefer he'd not used the method he has but hey, it's not my protest or my place to tell him how to protest. Ditto Nike, they support who and what causes they want. I'm not boycotting the NFL, I prefer college football and EPL anyway. I'm not boycotting Nike, because frankly the brand of apparel is less important to me than the price, look fit etc.
So I guess my question is, if Kaepernick and Nike can have their viewpoint, and they absolutely can, why do I have to cheer for them or risk being labeled as racist/extremist/alt-right etc? Just because I don't find them heroes doesn't mean I advocate police brutality, and would ever have anything to do with morons that march with white robes and/or espouse hate.
