Only the first preseason match, but he was miles off the pace defensively. He got skinned alive.

He was able to get forward on the counter attack some. Not ready yet. Same as Patterson on the other side. He's closer on the eye test.

I think many of fans called it correctly, he isn't good enough. It is a sign when two managers didn't really rate him. But he came cheap and probably on low wages. It was a gamble worth taking, it didn't work out so lets move on.

Lets take the positive here, I think it's fine if our club takes risk like Nkounku - cheap, low wages and young. We could stumble upon a gem some day. But in Nkounku case, it didn't. So, right now we can just loan him out until he has a good performance elsewhere.

Felt sorry for him to be honest. Has no positional sense at all. He’s a young lad and hope he can improve but from what I’ve seen he’s another who will spend his time here taking up the loan options every summer like Garbutt, Pennington etc.

I won’t give up on him but I do really question if he’ll make it.

I think another loan could do him well but I think it’d be better to keep him in England and send him to a Championship club.

Guess he’ll go on loan but does leave us needing cover at left back/wing back. If Lampard’s playing a back three, the wingbacks are so crucial to the attack - we can’t be playing Godfrey there as back up for Myko. Completely nullifies the left side of the pitch and there’s already no threat through the centre.
