The packers have usually been my escape from watching bad Everton teams. Not so much in the last month! Not a great weekend to be my kids. Everton and Packers season ended in 2 days.
At least they don't have to watch the Packers again until August.
Yep. Conceding 25 points in 15 minutes is nuts. Not sure about Lafleur but I bet he is back next season and NFC N isn't about to get any easier.I've no idea how green bay lost that. I dont really know where they go from here. I'm not sure if Lafleur should be back. All I know is constantly losing big games in ridiculous ways doesn't reflect well on a coach.
It might sound like sour grapes but the thing that frustrates me most is I have no doubt Green Bay have a have much better team than Chicago.
So to lose twice to them in that manner shows their is something fundamentally wrong with the coaching or the mentality. You have to say Johnson is doing a much better job than Lafleur and you have to ask if anyone could do better with these players. Especially when the injured players are back next season.
Well fair but agree to disagree.I'm biased but couldn't disagree more.
Think the Bears have more talent on offence and without Parsons the packers defence is just meh.
As for your special teams, it's a disaster.
I think you have to give it another yearI've no idea how green bay lost that. I dont really know where they go from here. I'm not sure if Lafleur should be back. All I know is constantly losing big games in ridiculous ways doesn't reflect well on a coach.
This version of the Packers without Parsons isn’t more talented in a real wayI'm biased but couldn't disagree more.

The CEO has already said he didn't believe in coaches in their final year and wouldn't have any "lame duck" years.I think you have to give it another year
I’d extend him. Everyone is floating John Harbaugh for every spot but that’s hilarious to me. That’s the answer to the problem of losing playoff games in infuriating ways? The CEO has already said he didn't believe in coaches in their final year and wouldn't have any "lame duck" years.
I would probably move on, but it's not a straightforward answer. I just don't think this team can win big games under him. Bad special teams year on year is also a reflection of coaching as well.
They wouldn't lose 3 or 4 games a season solely due to special teams if Harbaugh was the coach. I could get on board with that to be honest. Sometimes a change is needed.I’d extend him. Yes John Harbaugh also does this. You’ll just replace the special teams errors with turnovers. They wouldn't lose 3 or 4 games a season solely due to special teams if Harbaugh was the coach. I could get on board with that to be honest. Sometimes a change is needed.
It's not just losing play off games in infuriating ways. Its across the whole season
Lost to Cleveland on a blocked field goal
Tied with Dallas and had an extra point returned for a 2 point conversion to Dallas.
Lost by 3 to Philly with multiple missed FGs
Lost to Carolina by 3 with a missed FG
Lost to Chicago on a fumbled onside kick
Lost to Chicago with 2 missed FGs and a missed XP
And never forget the loss to the niners on a blocked punt when Jimmy G could hardly complete a pass. Even the niners loss in Love's first season, they had missed kicks.
This is not a one off with Lafleur teams, this is the trend.
They are lots of good offensive minds out there. Lafleur is one of them, but he is a bad situational coach and that holds back his teams. His teams are ill disciplined and crack under pressure.Yes John Harbaugh also does this. You’ll just replace the special teams errors with turnovers.
The other piece of it is how much are you going to lose from a schematic perspective on offense? I thought this season was infuriating to watch but they still finished 6th in offensive efficiency by DVOA. Is the downgrade there going to be worth it? I’d argue almost certainly not.
Sure but who are you going to get right now that brings that level of offensive coaching to the table? They are lots of good offensive minds out there. Lafleur is one of them, but he is a bad situational coach and that holds back his teams. His teams are ill disciplined and crack under pressure.
Green Bay have a quarterback, and that's the biggest thing. And they have Parsons on defence. When you have that there are lots of coaches you can hire who will do well.
