In fairness to Kev, the 49ers do have a definite top ten, possibly top five defense. Eagles, Cowboys and Bills are the only ones I can think of immediately who are definitely clearly better.

Early days yet though.

Statistically speaking in terms of YPP given up until Sunday, they were the best. So to call them the best is perfectly legitimate and not sure what the needle is about given it’s a statement of fact.

I think it's because normally your "statements of fact" are just you verifiably talking out your arse. But you were right on this rare occasion, that was a good 49er D that Mahomes split wide open
