I was utterly convinced he was on a massive wind-up in the Ukraine thread. However he's been a tool in here too, so that starts to suggest he's simply obnoxious and I'm not prepared to waste any more time on him.

Weird thing is the Chiefs are a great organisation. I'd happily see some of their players come to Cincinnati - Creed Humphrey, Joe Thuney, Isiah Pacheco, Willie Gay and Chris Jones, for instance - but his utter obsession with Mahomes (to the point of pretending the rest of the roster is nothing special) is bizarre.

And then he doubles down on the bizarre by claiming the Chiefs are the favourites to win everything, even though he says the roster is mostly average and Mahomes carries them. Ask him to back up the suggestion that the Chiefs are favourites and all he can offer is that lots of people bet big money on them. Absolutely zero informed tactical analysis.

It's a shame the Bills @ Bengals game got stopped, but it was ABSOLUTELY the right decision. Damar Hamlin almost dying is more important than any sport, by orders of magnitude. It's incredibly cathartic to hear these recent snippets of optimistic news about his condition.
Oh, he’s undoubtedly a wind-up merchant. From the second the news broke he’s been after nibbles on here. A few called him out and he piped down a bit, now the coast is almost clear re Hamlin’s health, he’s back with talk of how the Bills are “forcing” rule changes and the Bengals fans are livid.

I have no idea what drives a grown man to seek attention in such a specific and horrible way, but whatever it is can’t be good. He has my pity.

It's pathetic, isn't it.

1) The Bills haven't forced any rule changes. The league itself decided to look at this issue.

2) I'm a Bengals fan. Have been for 35 years - I guarantee I'm on more Bengals forums than our resident attention-seeker even knows exist and I am happy to say that the OVERWHELMING majority of online discussion in the last few days has been focussed on Damar Hamlin and Tee Higgins. There's been some talk about the Ravens game in week 18, mostly from the perspective of "how mentally ready can the players be at the moment", but no whining about the possible seeding implications as far as I've seen so far.

What kind of person watches a guy have a traumatic cardiac episode on live tv in a game involving two teams he DOESN'T support and immediately thinks "I hope that this doesn't affect my team's chances of winning a title. I'll go online and bitch about the mere possibility, prior to any confirmation about whether this dude lives or dies."

I mean, moreover, the Bills didn’t force anything. It’s made to sound like they wanted to abandon a game they were destined to lose and then have the rules bent in their favour.

Their teammate and friend died for a bit while they watched. They reacted to that rather unique and tragic circumstance in much the same way the lawmakers are having to do in its wake.

Right all nonsense of the above few posts completely ignored, obviously it’s a criminal offence here to hold an opposing viewpoint to giving the Bills every assistance they need to navigate the playoffs, including changing the rules already in the rule book.

And throwing out the rule book is exactly what the nfl have now done.

Rumour has it Goodell is looking at University of Buffalo Stadium as a potential neutral site.

This season is so strange that you have been reduced to watching a Jaguars hype video on gameday. I was there in '99 and I still haven't gotten over it.
The trend has been our friend, but we know better than to hope too much. Just focus on how much we hate the other guys. Love Derrick, but not tonight.

We ain't done nothing yet.

Don't let 22 come home and win. Not this time. Jeff Fisher. (spits)

I will be amazed if we beat you given the state of our quarterback options. Always the chance the King drags us through but I doubt it

We both know he can take you there on his back if we let him. We'll see.

Our key is getting to your QB and making everything happen way too fast, winning line of scrimmage, and making our third downs when we have the ball so we can score. We'll gain yards, but we have to score. If we get that, the rest should take care of itself with your personnel problems.
That's why they play the game. We just talk ****.

Hope everybody finishes healthy. It will be intense.
