Fairly obvious - gives Taysom Hill that ridiculous contract, terrible cap issues - no wonder he’s done.
Let someone else deal with the mess.

I think he needs a break. He seems genuinely happy at the prospect.I imagine he realized that he big upped Hill too much and has no appetite for a rebuild.
I think he needs a break. He seems genuinely happy at the prospect.
Also, I think Hill is cut without penalty because at any time in his contract now. It’s bad, but only like $10m/year. They have to figure out Lattimore and Thomas.
Plus, I think with the right coaching hire, we restructure existing deals and being is Riuss.
Go after Bienemy from the Chiefs?
I think they will offer Dennis Allen first, but if he doesn't want the job then I would definitely aim at Bienemy. Who knows what Loomis is thinking though.
Loomis has a ton on his plate, for sure. Especially with that salary cap problem.
Loomis has some sort of strategy with salary and bonuses. I don't really understand it, but a lot of cap space is front-loaded, then contracts are restructured (not for less real money though), and it changes the cap space. I read somewhere that by restructuring Lattimore, Thomas (or trading him), Ramczyk, and one other they can erase the entire cap issue. There's some sort of wizardry here so let's see what happens.
Fingers crossed, my friend.
