Plus you would get rid of draws. You would just have to make decisions about how points are counted in this format because of tiebreakers that include points scored or points allowed. Maybe only the round that decides the winner is counted.

Just with NCAA games would end in a tie after regulation or just a tie after 4OTs w/ the exception of conf championships There are so much more plays run in college. You played for 4 hours, no one is better.

NFL has a good system. Buffalo probably had 90+% to win that in regulation, could have got it done then.

The NFL has always had a golden goal rule with OT. They just made it slightly harder by making the arbitrary coin flip winner score a TD to win.

That's fine, there are probably ways to get it out, college rules is not a good idea. Nevermind that it isn't even necessarily more "fair" as the team going second wins more often by a pretty sizable margin. I think that is overlooked in all the give both teams a shot shouts.

There have been proposals to replace the toss with a strategy system and I'm cool with that but someone is still getting the ball first. For me that's the best way still, to play real football.

Again you are allowed to get a stop. The team receiving first loses more often than people think.
