We have arguably looked better this season when teams have come at us so we can hit them on the counter.

I imagine most of these (except maybe Stoke at their place) will expect the opposite.

We have for a lot of this season lacked real creativity when required to 'go at' teams imo
Maybe Ross' upturn in form and the addition of Schneiderlin will change that though!

Next 5 games...
What points return are we realistically expecting from these?

Palace away (3)
Stoke away (1)
Bournemouth at home (3)
Boro away (1)
Sunderland at home (3)

Although we have struggled with these type of teams all season, I would say 11 points is achievable... That would put us right back in the mix for European football next season..

We are as close to UTD as the chasing title contenders are to Chelsea, so this isn't over yet!

We'll lose one of those, and end up with 8 or 10 points

I'd say we'll win at Boro away but draw Bournemouth at home. Same point total so I guess it's just semantics.

Most of those teams are going to sit back and try to hit us on the break.

Our best games are against teams that come and try to beat us. Let's take this one match at a time and hope for 3 against Palace and some proof we can break down a packed defense.
Spot on.
And this is why personally - although a great result - I don't think we can get too carried away with the result on Sunday nor Koeman's tactics.

The problem we have is when teams sit deeper. All we've done this year against these teams is aim long, diagonal balls at Lukaku.

Let's see what the man on £6million p/y can conjure up when his management is needed most. The spaces are there to be exploited against City as has been shown numerous times this season. Big Sam will have palace solid and hard to beat, especially at home.

Let's face it, nobody has a clue which Everton will turn up for any of those games. These days I watch us with an open mind, it's much better that way. On Sunday I enjoyed it as a one off game, not as us turning a corner.
