What points return are we realistically expecting from these?

Palace away (3)
Stoke away (1)
Bournemouth at home (3)
Boro away (1)
Sunderland at home (3)

Although we have struggled with these type of teams all season, I would say 11 points is achievable... That would put us right back in the mix for European football next season..

We are as close to UTD as the chasing title contenders are to Chelsea, so this isn't over yet!

Now that we have one of these threads we will probably lose all 5

We play like we did against city, then all 5 are very winnable, play like we did against hull then all 4 easily loseable.

If we harbour any hopes of closing with United/top 6 though, can't drop 4 points out those fixtures as none of the teams above will likely drop much more than that.

If we want to catch United we need to win all 5.

For the record, they have

Stoke away
Ull home
Watford home
City away
Bournemouth home

So they aint gonna drop many themselves, bar maybe the city game, with it being a Derby, who knows how that will go.

City are arguably a more catchable team mate, United very unlikely to implode, city have spurs away, bournemouth away, United home in the next 5.

Indeed.

That is why I was hoping for a draw at OT yesterday and would not have been completely gutted happen the RS had held on for the win.

And City are suddenly looking not so far in front of us. they play Spurs on Saturday so if we can beat Palace that gap might well be down to six points if Spurs can do them up there.

And United have a tough enough away game at Stoke.

This is what a result and equally as important, a performance, like yesterday does.

It breathes a new life into a season which looked like it was on life support thirty short hours ago ;)

Both are still in both cup comps and Europe as well.

And both kinda need to give those full attention due to the pressure at them to win things instantly.

A long shot like, but if koeman can have us do finishing over the last 18 like he did with saints then who knows, the first game was a good sign like.

Avoiding this. Sure someone did the same earlie in the season and we then lost to Burnley bournemouth etc . Take one game at a time. Also Fat Sam hasn't won yet.................... you know Everton!
