I not to bothered about the team selection, we played two days ago so changes were inevitable, Lukaku needs a break so Kone in is an obvious choice, Jags and Stones are injured so has to be Alcaraz and Distin, Mirallas injured so McGeady in for pace out wide and Garbutt in for Naismith which will create more width whoever plays LB or LM between him and Baines.

He's taking a massive gamble here. Losing 3 (if we lose) on the bounce 2 of which we should be winning comfortably is bad enough, but this selection looks baffling.

Genius or madman, we'll soon see

Yes, I am warming to it now.

I can't wait to see Kone and Eto'o together.

The former's pace may well benefit from the latter's guile.
In the short limpses of Kone so far I've been impressive by how well he can keep hold on the ball. The same with Eto'o. While Lukaku and Barkley are the future they give away possession far too much, which in a possession style of football won't work. They are more suited to a counter-attacking style until they develop these skills.

Remind me again how many goals Kone has scored for Everton.

And?? your point is? Tell me how many good performances the players on the bench have put in for us this season. And to be fair lad, Kone's not exactly had ample opportunity has he, injured for over a year. Give the lads a chance, at worst we will lose which we have been doing with the 'bench' playing anyway
