I dont blame her for that. She is a broker after all.
But iirc, the PL were not bothered about the bid as such, but they wanted to know who would be actually controlling the club. As in, "Is there a link between the consortium in front of us, as "owners", and the Saudi Govt?"
That was never answered, so there you go.
Martin Samuel, who is very close to Ashley, says Ashley asked to see the money and no funds were shown.
It's all fishy to me. If you listen back as well, Jordan asks her if the Saudis are still interested and she avoids the question. He asks again and she gives quite a forced answer that doesnt sound convincing at all.
In all of this, why was the bid withdrawn? And if she has a gripe with the PL, why has she gone to government? Even if the government rules in her favour, the PL can maintain their stance that they dont want to make it public.
I also dont see how making public what went on really makes the takeover happen again? They are carrying on like it would, but even in a best case scenario it just rules the PL should disclose its correspondence for the fans to see. It doesnt mean they have to accept the approach.
Jordan was right when he called her a rabble rouser who is deceiving the fans. This smacks of face saving from her.
