Newcastle dished it out physically and got away with every single one. Shelvey, Scharr.. and then had the temerity to make a few up (e.g. JoeLinton when Dele was playing the ball and ASM went down quicker than a Lime Street tart looking for a fiver).

And then we were injured and rubbish.

We needed a dynamic mid and a new centreback in this window so we buy a left mid, a lightweight utd reject and a lad who has been crap for 2 seasons who plays in a position we don't use

Injuries knocked us off course and we never looked like righting ourselves.

First half we were competitive after a shaky first 10 minutes. We haven't got a hold of the game in any serious way in the second and honestly we don't deserve anything out of the game. Gutted as it was very winnable.
