Newcastle fans Vs Mike Ashley

[Poor language removed] clubs like them always seem to fall on their feet though - see Kopites, Wist Ham, Chelsea etc.
There must be a reason however, apart from the asking price, why so many of the current and proposed investors in the PL overlook Newcastle as an option.

All we hear is that they are an untapped potential, with large crowds and what not. So surely it'd be a buyers dreams? But it's obviously not from what we can see.

I think once Ashley does eventually sell, they'll fall into an even greater decline. West Ham have teetered over the abyss as well, so this may be their last chance.

Gold and Sullivan have invested a fair bit this window on new players and their new manager, yet if that fails then it could all go royally Pete Tong - or we can wish!

I think the reason that they`re overlooked is Ashley himself.

He appears to be unwilling to compromise on the sale price of the club in anyway whatsoever, hence why the last load of investors walked away.

He obviously doesn`t need the money having just bought the House of Fraser, so until someone meets his full valuation, he isn`t going away.

That's the most obvious point and probably a sticking point, but my point is that from numerous accounts there's very little interest at all regardless of that point.

There was a financial gentleman on Radio 5Live a few weeks back (or maybe months) who explained the possible reasons for this much better than I can.

In layman's terms, it was to do with proposed % profit margins and low improvements in revenue, versus the necessary outlays to make the club profitable.

Basically it's not got the best potential to be the cash cow that many investors desire, although on the face of it you'd expect that it would.

Either Benitez’s stock is so low he can’t get another job or Ashley has some serious dirt on him. How is he still there?

They are deffo going down. They are abysmal. It's great. Them, Huddersfield and Cardiff. Absolutely nailed on. In reserve order. Never before has the top six and bottom three been so clear.

They’re definitely for the drop. Can’t believe Benitez has stayed there so long, he could definitely have got a job somewhere better.
