Been getting a bit of stick lately so credit to James Tawkowski for ducking under the ball for our 1st goal, not sure if Beto or Barry would of shown similar discipline being offside but unable to resist the temptation to put it in the net.

This thread around the points of the equalisers/our 2nd and 3rd goals is hilarious.

My particular favourite was “this is theirs to win now, we’ve got nothing” when we’d already gone 3-2 up 🤣
Yes mate, we really do have some embarrassing "fans", on here and in the ground, and even amongst the intelligent ones there is much negativity...

Why are you "not a big fan of Jordan"? Are you new to this football thing?
I just think he is over hyped by Everton fans and he’s big fault of not commanding his six yard box stops him from being lined up as a top class goalkeeper along with his temperament and his constant shouting at his defenders doesn’t go well with me because he makes plenty of mistakes himself without getting the stick back that he gives. He is a great shot stopper though as his fantastic save v Newcastle showed— so those saves bring out the shouts of how great he is while the ricks he makes, like the fumbled save he made on Saturday but Tarkowski stepping in to lash the ball away before a Newcastle player could take advantage like Beto did with Popes poor save, go by without any remarks from his admirers.
I’ve been watching the Blues for a very long time and seen a big difference in the game and I think older fans like myself are getting sickened at how the game has changed with those rugby scrum corners the latest fad to put me off.

I agree that his command of the 6 yard box is his weakness - but footy has changed over recent years with these ludicrous corners being allowed - when not only is the goalie obstructed but the grappling and holding of other players that goes unpunished is bizarre - with VAR ridiculously silent. The one thing that they could give help to the refs and they are silent. They are not even just fouls - anywhere else on the pitch and it's a sending off or at least a booking. What we did against United was bordering on the ridiculous - but most teams in the PL do it. Less so in European domestic footy as they know it's cheating and they will be penalised.
But back to JP - only Southall is better imho. He has literally kept us in the PL for 3 years with the saves he's made and points he's earned.
I did rate Martyn close to them both. Westy and Howard also had their moments - but not close to JP in terms of ability.
If he was a tall as Donarumma he'd have more presence in the 6 yard box - and be the best in the world prolly playing for Real Madrid.
We are so lucky to have him.

Fair enough Terry you love Jordan and think he is a very good goalkeeper, whether the very top clubs or those near the top think so is open to doubt, Pickford Ihas been here a good few years now and I’ve seen any concrete evidence that one club has sought to buy him, I also think Jordan had this weakness dealing with centres and corners before they became the farce they are now.

"he makes plenty of mistakes"... eh, no he does not

I did indeed. It was a totally valid question. So, please tell us, show us, these "plenty of mistakes".
He makes them quite often from centres and corners, some excuse now with the rugby scrums at most corners but he made them well before they started, didn’t you see the fumbled save(?) he made v Newcastle on Saturday, Pope suffered for his mistake, Tarkowski spared Pickford’s blushes by booting the ball away before a Newcastle could get to it, but you go the game or watch it and he gets away with his mistakes most times without conceding a goal— they are still mistakes.
