New striker in the summer

I'm wondering wether Jose will show his stubborn streak and not concede he was wrong in letting lukaku go out on loan. Give some bull about the player not fitting into the style of football he wants to play , buy another forward and allow us to buy lukaku .
If lukaku is loving his time at everton feeling wanted etc ,then maybe just maybe he might want to sign on . Long shot I guess

Sedoiu dymbia (spelling?) from cska Moscow has being linked with us recently he would be ideal quick physical striker with a good scoring record only 25 as well
Doumbia would be the one I'd go for, if we can realistically afford him. He's pretty good.

Someone obscure who we've never heard of for like 6 mil, and turns out to be absolutely boss.

That'd do me.
I think that would be bad. Its where we have probably wasted the most money, in buying 6m players when we should be putting all we have towards top quality. Its not an area we should continue to skimp on. It makes such a difference to us in terms of playing and doesn't cost us more in the long run.
If it works out and they are boss, I can't argue obviously.

Don't see how we can possibly keep lukaku. If he keeps going like this we'll need £30 million to get him. Jose would be strung up if he sold him after playing well for us.

Very rarely these days does a striker below the £8-10m mark turn out to be a top player. They seem to be much harder to find than midfielders and defenders.

I agree you blonde bombshell. We`ve bought strikers as stop gaps rather than proven quality and it chips away at our budget, possibly costing us more in the long run. Doumbia would be a very good idea if we could afford him, which we should be after the summer we've just had. I live in hope.

To be fair, Beattie, Johnson and Yakubu were all record signings, money doesn't necessarily guarantee quality (Seamus Coleman)

Its not a guarantee of course. More money doesn't mean better players but its a more proven correlation. Strikers need to be record signings. They are usually more expensive because they convert dominance in to points. There is good reason we have had the lion's share of games and not won them previous to Lukaku playing.

I meant my post as a joke.

You know because what is the likelihood of find a top quality striker for 6 mil?

Would be awesome if we did of course.

I knew it was a joke, but for some reason took it completely seriously, possibly just to make a point. Sorry.
