Gifting a charity prime sponsorship positions should be allowed to be written off against FFP.. Impossible for us to give it to a charity currently as much as we'd all like to see it.
Why mate

Are you sure about that? They're not without controversy to say the last...and that's besides the obvious point that Cruddas is a horrible corrupt Tory scumbag.
It’s a lovely idea, Dave, and I’m with you in terms of the idea. It’s a beautiful full circle of giving and receiving; we produce on the pitch, we generate income and goodwill, we give it back to the community. It’s perfect, but for one thing…I agree 100%.
Sadly, there's little chance of that happening with these blood sucking spivs.
They brought the gas man in to make deals with the devil, it looks like.
'The People's Club' my arse.
With very passing day we're going to resemble the LFC Tory Club we've always ripped them about.
You lie down with dogs...

Where does the money come from? A charity can’t afford the big bucks necessary to finance a deal like that, so what? Do we pay for it ourselves? That leaves us as the most morally upright and just premier league team in history, no doubt.
But also means we’re leaving tens of millions on the table, putting our lifeblood (top level football) on the line. And what happens to EITC if we implode and drop down the divisions? That would be one of the first programs to be cut when the bite was felt.
It’s a wonderful thought, but in the current climate would be financial suicide, ultimately benefiting no-one, least of all EITC. Or so I believe
Can't disagree with a single word there mate but would have to confess to being a tad underwhelmed by CMC. I'd hoped for a more recognised global brand.Dave as you well know we got a points deduction because our commercial deals were crap, we were badly ran, they are improving under the Friedkin group let it lie and stop moaning about everything Everton, CMC it it's them are better than gambling or alcohol, they would in my opinion be a step up with them and give us more money.

Quite a variety there.
New rule on GOT you have to declare interests in the GOT register of accounts.Zat, are you lining yourself up to become GOT’s Christopher Ward influencer?![]()
For a global brand with a certain reach, it makes sense for them to sponsor a club which can extend that reach or break out into new markets. Currently, that ain’t us. The objective is to raise their profile, not ours. (If we’re talking global)Can't disagree with a single word there mate but would have to confess to being a tad underwhelmed by CMC. We need to start competing though yet elements of our fan base see things like the cups as meaningless. A few years of good runs and the bigger name sponsors will start knocking on the door.Could/ should be us next season and beyond.
Who are they and what do they do?Never heard of them until they sponsored us and havent really taken a proper look at their watches.
I know CMC very well and have some contacts there.
The point of them sponsoring us would typically be exactly as you mention - new markets.
These guys are enormous and dont really have 'new markets' because of their sales networks.
However, being a sponsor of a premier league team would solidify their status in Asia, Africa, middle east and South America especially.
Those 4 regions tend to look at the front of shirt (and other) sponsorships as being reputable.
Look at how Blackwell Global previously sponsored us to tap into the Chinese market.
