New PL TV Deal 2019 - 2022.

They will sell for near enough reserve price eventually
Overseas deal will bring the total to more than last deal.
It seems to me that Sky and BT have come to an agreement between them to keep prices and packages the same.
They now share content as well
You're correct that the overseas revenue stream will increase the total income, however the clear domestic decrease shouldn't be dismissed.

Unless the likes of Amazon, Netflix or Facebook come in with a competitive offer, then I feel that the final two tranches may have a lower value.

BSkyb and BT's "disciplined approach" (their words) is already obvious and without competitive bids I'm sure they'll argue for less £ per game.

I remember when the previous deals were signed an expert on 5Live predicted there'd be stagnation in this deal and an eventual plateau or decline.

Be arsed.
Too much money ruining the game. Moving fixtures, overpaying players causing hyper inflation which only takes money from the punters and throws it to already over rich players.
I've never paid to watch a match in TV because it was obvious the game was going to be ruined, and it has.

Spot on here I think. The major thing is Sky and BT reaching the agreement to sell each other's content. That, to me, is them both acknowledging that they can't afford the rights to keep rocketing up in the manner they were. This is the result. I think we are at saturation point as well now. There seems to be a match on every day, sometimes more than one, and it's just too much. Especially when half the games will be dross like stoke vs Watford or whatever.

BT Sport and Sky can do as they please really.

I'm glad to see the value go down. Whilst it's great to see more in the coffer's for the club, is it actually "more"? With the inflation we've paid £27m for Bolasie, Tosun and £25m for Klaasen, i think you're looking at £30m tops.

So if Sky and BT have both turned round and went... "We want two packages, You want five, lets save ourselves money, and work together".

It's clear that neither see showing every game as "viable" during the midweek process. Realistically, unless they're planning on spreading the games over three days, it's effectively paying £100m for 4 games. As you're not going to watch every game.

I think its going to become more and more common, at least with the traditional broadcasters. People are "cutting the cord" and reducing the potential audience side. Illegal streaming is hurting as well. Will be interesting to see if any of the internet companies step in, but I think the glory days for revenue may be coming to an end.

But i suppose its the impact of that on the PL, its safe to say that the very top players arent here for the weather etc. Its wages driven. If the PL cant or stops attracting the worlds best players and another league does, the product becomes worse and knock on effect of poorer product. I suppose different leagues have had their place in the sun, Italy, Spain etc, is the PL coming to an end.

If the TV has reduced or just stabilises and transfer fees and wages continue to rise at the current rate, its just logic that PL clubs have less resources to compete.

What this means for Everton is questionable, we know the vast vast amount of our income is reliant on Tv money.

Neither Sky or BT can be throwing as much money as they were, both struggling a little with regards losing subs on a massive scale.

But thats down to greed, I pay for Virgin, mainly cos the missus insists, I dont watch tele myself, but they want 35 notes a month for Sky Sports, which isnt an amazing amount of money, but its more than im willing to pay, especially when I can sometimes source the game elsewhere...........

Basically until Amazon or Facebook get involved, it will probably go down, but the clubs wont really care, with the overseas price increase I cant see it harming their bottom line, yet.

I was paying a similiar amount to Virgin and phoned them about it.....they came up with a new price of £19.99 for the Sports.

If that price is to your liking give them a call....they might come up with a similiar deal for you.
