New manager

There's very few managers who are willing to come in Mid-Season, wholl take this project on.

So before I get the "anyone is better than Dyche" shouts.

Who do you actually think will come in? Who do you even want?

Ride it out until May, our best option, or we'll end up with another sacking on the books come June.
Love the way our fans under sell Everton it’s amazing.
New owners new stadium and a chance to build a team from scratch almost. In the biggest league in the world with a very good salary.
All managers have egos and will believe they can make this team better, wouldn’t be hard

The reasons Ive mentioned the 3 are:

Allegri leaking that he wanted a premier league job after leaving Juve the first time. Plus of course the Italian factor and TFG going for a big name.

Iraola because we will have the stadium and a chance of a rebuild at a club far larger than the one he is with. If he stayed where he is for a couple of seasons he'd earn less than at one with us.

McKenna seems primed for a move at the end of the season. Achieved success in league one and the championship while rebuilding each summer. His top players will probably be sold end of the season and perhaps he would like to make a bigger name for himself.

Do you think McKenna could be a gamble? Perhaps even Allegri? Allegri stellar first time at Juventus, less so the second time?

Id love Iraola, got Bournemouth playing some excellent quick football.

I am not underselling us.

But mid-season, with a very poor selection of players, very limited finances, we're not exactly a good project are we?

In the summer when FFP loosens and we've got a host of players departing, to really allow a total rebuild is entirely different. Just think right now is a struggle.

Sounds like the name of a delicious Italian sorbet flavour…

Of course we are even mid season, we can play far better football and score goals, believing nothing better then Dyche is madness

I think McKenna going to a league 1 side facing potential relegation was a gamble. Also keeping him in the championship and the premier league shows that the owners and fans love him. Hes rebuilt squads every season and is young so can improve.

Allegri built and was very successful at a few teams. Hes only 57 and was known for rebuilding with a younger player focus rather than using older players. A refreshing change of pace.

I reckon both would be very successful with us. The current team may suit Allegri more to build upon as it has the defensive focus...however, McKenna was a fantastic coach (apparently) at both Spurs and United so i expect him to be one of the next wave of top managers.

I'd love to have your optimism, but DCL & Beto hardly screaming goals is it?

If you can get someone as a bridge for 6-months, do it. But, just don't want a panic situation, where we have two payoffs to handle.

Nicely put.

At least some options there

Surely Thomas Frank is in the frame?
And David Ancelotti.

I imagine both would jump at the prospect of trying to turn this car-crash of a Club around now that we have some positive momentum off the pitch. A manager who has confidence in his own ability wouldn’t think twice about coming to Everton, he’d be here in a flash at such a lucrative and potentially career-elevating opportunity.
A positive manager wouldn’t worry about the ramifications of failure as so many managers have failed before - he’d look at the benefits of success.

Irrespective of the past performance and troubles we’ve had Everton is still a massive pull for any manager whether new and up-and-coming or experienced. We need to aim high and ignore the likes of Moyes, Potter and Southgate.

I think they are all realistic options for the summer. That’s the main issue for me. Arguably we should have gone for Sergio but he’s off to AC. I don’t want him here long term but I think Moyes will be offered the job short term.
