New Manager

Fair enough mate, I guess we should be going for one of them managers that can guarantee success instead.

I've been against the appointment of Silva from day one by the way, as he's a Watford reject and a relegation specialist. But Moyes is a much better manager than Marco Silva. In fact, he's the best Everton manager of this millennium by some considerable distance.

I wouldn't have a breakdown or consider it 'embarrassing' if he was brought in to stop the rot whilst we go about finding one of those managers that are guaranteed to bring success!

I find losing to be embarrassing. I find scoring a total of six goals by the middle of October to be embarrassing. I find the appointment of Marco frigging Silva to far more embarrassing than the appointment of David Moyes.
Especially as we pursued him at Watford and made him our priority target.

It is the most lazy, appalling, chip-paper notion of journalism that has online media linking us with Moyes.

If he was under consideration, let alone appointed, it would mean that Brands was hired to do absolutely nothing other than complete a very sorry circle.

There is no way Brands could maintain credibility sat beside Moyes at a press conference.

Apart from Mourinho what managers (that we would really want) could we prise away from their clubs at this time of season and what would be the cost ?

What! Less credible than sitting alongside Silva....you've got be joking....I agree Moyes would not be my first choice but desperate situations so etimes call f,or desperate measures to be taken and I honestly believe that in our current situation we need to think in terms of stability and in the short term I think that is what Moyes would bring then maybe make long term judgement at the end of the season.

Moyes has failed at every job he's had since leaving Everton and has been unemployed for 18 months. Why would this be a good idea?

I think something like that may happen... the 2019/2020 equivalent of the big Sam appointment.

Unless Mourinho come or a manager from South America where the compensation may be more affordable.

Simply because that is what is sensible at the moment. ..forget about top six or top ten.,we are in a relegation place..acept the situation as it is and go for the stability I mentioned..no way do I believe Moyes would long term win us tge league but that thought is pie in the sky for the immediate future...the immediate future needs stability. ..can you think of a better available opting than Moyes?

I don't believe short term Moyes would keep us in the league. West Ham weren't offering him another year and nobody wants him since. Why on earth would he be even a good short term option? We'd winding the clock back 6 years and basically admitting we're a small time bunch of no hopers with thirty games left to play.

Blanc is out of work, Mourinho is out of work. Don't plan for failure. Hire somebody you want to keep around for success or somebody else will hire them.

So what are we if we are not, at the moment, no hopers? Why would Blanc or Mourinh want to come to face fight against relegation because no matter how blue your glasses might be, that is a fact! What do you mean "don't plan for faiure" to my way of thinking seven points from the easiest start to the season I can recall jn50 years supporting the club is FAILURE

He done very well at West Ham considering the state they were in.
Luckily enough we are not in that kind of state at the moment. Although, If Silva is being given time to change things and nothing does we could easily be in a real relegation battle and in a worse position than we ever where when Koeman got the sack. If that's the case calls for someone like Moyes would be more understandable than they are now.
