If i had a spare 4 quid this week mate i'd buy a buss pass again haha

I would love this to be true, but the minute i got down to old swan chances are a lorry would blindside me and i'd be getting a lift to work in an ambulance instead ;)
I meant everyone rides on the pavement.

I've never been on this thread before but I had a crack at the new healthy start thing recently.

Decided when I finished uni (a three year bender with pizza) to get back in the gym - fortunately they've opened one of those Sports Direct gyms in Southport and it's a fiver a month with free parking which is sound.

I've started eating breakfast, usually bran flakes or a banana or on a cold day and if I have time, porridge.

Lunch is usually something carby with veg, rice and peas or cous cous.

Dinner is usually a chicken breast or a portion of white fish with fresh veg and no dessert any more.

I try to go the gym three times per week and go for a 5km run once per week.

So far I've stuck at it quite well, lost 16lbs when I wasn't really overweight anyway. Only really drink when we're at Goodison or having a meal out (couple of times per month). I certainly feel a lot better and less bloated from uni days when I was having carbs three meals per day (toast for brekkie, sandwich for lunch and pasta or pizza for dinner usually).

I did have to get a car for work and I used to walk everywhere but other than that it's all been quite positive. The twice I have dug in to a takeaway have been pure ecstasy.

@Ashtonian how many calories you eating now, is the weight still coming off for you?
Been less dieting and more eating better past few weeks mate. So weight been coming off slower but still coming off. As a rule though past few weeks been only really having a salad for lunch from subway so calorie wise, first 12 hours of the day is probably around 500 including the coffees? Probably helping, but this week with all this additional walking i have to do, probably going to drop a fair few pounds haha

You'll hit plateaus along the way, just don't let them knock your confidence. If you see a couple of weeks a no weight loss increase the cals considerbaly to shock the body for a week. Still amazed how you get through a day on so few calories, think i polished 500 off by 10 this morning lol

Just getting used to it. Of a night i have been a bit more open to what i eat to compensate, so if we have choc buiscuts in or something like that i am not refusing them on the unhealthy grounds.

compare this to what i used to be like though, my salad and either yoghurt or fruit for the day so to speak compared to bacon and sausage barm from greggs, mocha, plus a butty/crisps/pop for lunch. Massive difference which is where i wanted to be at, eating salads out of routine now and perhaps just cutting a bit of the unhealthy out which has crept in will see me get more results again i hope. My aim is 4 pounds in just under 3 weeks to break under 15 stone, which will be a big thing for me, at the current rate of this week though, might break 4 pounds by monday haha

Easily done; thats some weight loss like, well done fella ;)

the trainers i have aren't walking trainers to be honest, they are kinda weird where they aren't sporty or formal, just were a fad apparantly this year. The other half bought them for me. Either that or i have boots, could always wear them.

I don't have a bike no, would get one but wouldn't fancy riding on the road to be honest, too dangerous.
You may have found a gap in the market here Ash - formal trainees. Take this opportunity, make it work, and you'll never need to worry about work or how you get there ever again.

haha i mean you have sports trainers and then nice ones. Can't remember what thew ones i have are called now, but they are nicer ones rather than sports ones. They don't even qualify the same as converse, just fancier ones. like converse but they aren't.
