New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Twenty years since Kirkby golf course I've been told that. "It's a done deal". "It's in the bag". "I heard it's defo going ahead from someone in the council". "Too many vested interests for it to fail".

We never learn. I'm not saying this one wont happen. But the view surely should be, after 20 years of shovelling BS piled on us from this club, "do it, dont talk about it...and until a PA is passed and a spade sinks into the ground you've got an uphill battle persuading me". We certainly shoudn't be hanging on the word of these people and accepting ITK info.

This is a very sensible take but it doesn't tally up with your 'pie in the sky' comments. Compared to the previous attempts we are far better placed, we have no debts, an owner who can dig out some money (he has probably spent near a couple of hundred million on us so what is another 100 or so if it doubles the value of club?), we have a concrete offer for a large portion of the stadium and there appears no obvious reasons that would prevent us moving to the dock unlike the Kirkby fiasco.

One thing having a healthy dose of reality of will it happen based on what has gone before but it is totally another when you keep on saying it is doomed to fail (maybe in not that term but I'm sure I've read kicked into the long grass, start of the end etc.).

I dont think there's anything concrete about a promissory note from Joe Anderson.

That was never more than a conversation really and we had little to no hope in ever getting the land (for starters). In that case you may as well throw in the proposed Scotland Loop location also.

Scotland loop was a proposal done by external people, Everton had no involvement in it.

Walton Hall Park proposal had a website and everything, that went on for over 2 years before it was abandoned. A good few million got spent on studies and prework. It was more than a conversation

Isn't the proposed stadium at BMD just part of the overall development of the docks? How can others with a major interest in investing in the area surrounding BMD proceed until they have certainty about it? I don't think they'd be happy sitting on their hands waiting to see whether or not the stadium will be built.
And that’s why it will be built
Too many lads stand to make a lot of money from the docks and that’s why it will go ahead

Ok a bit more than a conversation but still would not class it as a bona fide attempt.

Feel free to remove as its RS related.
But thought it worthwhile posting - the longer we 'standstill' the more difficult it will be to catch-up
Admittedly a ground on the docks should be the good to place for events, but if you've got your foot in the door early like the RS, you become established.

All the more reason why the new stadium should have had a roof to make it multi use.

nea about the echo arena.

Might suggest that the hierarchy at Anfield are more confident that BMD is taking place than a lot of people posting on here.
