New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Just seen this on Facebook, a company have a licence to run 3 boats between the new stadium and Albert dock, no details given on how big these boats are or when they will start, but £15 return isn’t a bad price, given the fact you are basically taken right up to the stadium

Without knowing particulars apart from the boat being a wide beam narrow boat, I suspect it'll be up the Leeds Liverpool canal extension.

So that's from the Albert Dock, Canning Dock, through the tunnel, Princes Dock, through into Salisbury and swinging into Collingwood...

... or up into Nelson. It'll be close at times because a wide-beam is 3.6m wide, whereas the channel at times is about 6m wide.

*I am ignoring the filled-in Trafalgar and West-Waterloo apart from the channels.

Who wrote that post? Hopefully their boat steering skills are better than their English skills.

As an aside, I thought the canal link was closed?

Also, you’ve then got to walk from Albert Dock to the bus/train stations anyway. According to ChatGPT it’s quicker to walk to Sandhills from the ground (15mins) than it is to walk from Albert Dock to Central (17-20mins).

Do they have 3 boats for these journeys? Gonna be waiting around for a while to get back in to town if they only have 1 boat, not so bad beforehand.

This won’t last long, it’ll be a novelty at first and will soon die off.

Between the stadium and the Albert dock? Before you got a seat it’s time to get off, I appreciate the effort but I’ll be surprised if this works, who’s paying £15 to get half way to your journey?
