New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

In a 50000 plus stadium, Everton's attendances 1984 - 87 reached the dizzying height of 32,000. (Although if you speak to people now, the attendances must have been about 60,000 judging by the number "I was there's.

You and the other chap base your planning on fantastical numbers.

Given how low attendances were in that era (despite all their success the RS were only getting a few thousand more and Utd's average was only around 40,000 compared to their 75,000 now). The official attendances were also, should we say, massaged.

That was the third highest average that season behind Man U(think theirs was 45K)and the RS who had a marginally better average 33k if I recall, different times and era.

So you are saying each ticket will generate more than £60 per ticket per game?

Currently we average approximately £25 per ticket per game.

There is obviously going to be a better mixture of corporate hospitality in amongst those traditional tickets.

Certainly better than the mediocre offering at GP now.

Do you know what the current matchday revenue is Esk?

Yes, I do not have it to hand as I am away at present, will let you know next week but it is around £20 million.

To generate £ 6 million from an extra 5000 seats we would have to sell 4000 for every game at £40 average =£3,000,000 plus 1000 hospitality seats per game at an average of £160 each = £3,000,000

Unlikely in my opinion that we could maintain a 55,000 average.

My most optimistic model was a 50,000 average with 1500 executive seats. That would generate approximately £31 million, an increase of £11 million.

That's good if funded by equity, it would be cash neutral with £120 million debt and cash negative with debt any higher.

These are the most optimistic scenarios.

The only way I can see of us generating so much extra cash form a bigger stadium is if we move into the top 4 and are playing CL. That would attract supporters back and bring new ones, add to that with the right management merchandise may take off.
