I think even the commercial performance comes down to the stadium. The way these deals work it's all about personal relationships and perks. If you were signing a deal for a company you worked for to give us sponsorship etc and one of the perks was having a box at a new modern stadium or Goodison which do you think you would go for?
I know of a major international company that was looking for conference facilities for an event.
This is one of the worlds largest companies.
They looked at Liverpool and United. Liverpool was too scruffy and they eventually chose United.
They didn't look at us because our facilities were not big enough.
