5 years chief commercial officer at Arsenal, head of sports marketing at Nike.

Man City. - Ferran Soriano
5 years as General Manager of FC Barcelona

Robert Elstone - Everton
University of Hull. Resigned from Castleford Tigers.

The reason they fell away was because they either retired or simply got older. Now if they you could argue that the newer players like Nasri would have stayed had they shown the ambition but without a stadium to pay for their salaries and more new signings that was impossible either way.

The same way whether we build a stadium or not if Rom progresses he will be gone. We either a) won't be able to build the stadium in time or b) won't be able to fund the team playing at the level of Champions League football and challenging for the title even with Champions League money.

If we get Champions League and are guaranteed at least into the group stage and the money. Can we then go out and pay for the players to stay there? Short term yes but what if we miss out the next year?

To have any chance of staying there once we get there we need to build the stadium. Stop looking at the short term, it's the reason we're in this mess. To see an example of this just look at Spurs.

We won't get a new regime without a new stadium.

Are you actually concerning yourself about our capability to maintain our top four status once we supposedly achieve such status? And you also want us to neglect investment in the playing squad for god knows how many years in order build some idea which isn't going to happen? I'm actually at this stage more worried about maintaining our top 7 status. I said months ago due to the new stadium West Ham would overtake us and Spurs and Liverpool would move further ahead. This window isn't actually proving me wrong.

Say we where smart enough and did buy the players young enough when they would still consider us like Lukaku and Stones the thing is once we have that squad capable of playing in the Champions League they would want Champions League money.

Champions League money isn't enough to fund that wage bill and keep up with player acquisitions to stay there. We would need more revenue.

We might break through once like Moyes did if we where both really lucky and had a perfect seasons but we wouldn't stay there. Ultimately it would mean very little to the club especially if we didn't make it to the group stage. Honestly I would prefer a pot.

Wasn't he CFO under Wyness or at least head of accounts? I have a feeling he probably got promoted when Bill was in a panic over Wyness going and he needed someone who could be in charge and who knew the most about our cash flow. Sunshine Bob was the man, and his main job was likely to make sure we could carry enough debt to stay operational throughout the season by hedging future tv rights values and being able to meet the long-term debt repayments. He was brought in under Moyes and season-to-season they were budgeting for the 40 pt target each season to be fiscally responsible. He doesn't seem to have the rest of the skills required for a CEO though and the management of our assets and commercial accounts has been substandard and falling behind the competition since he came on board, but he's been Bill's lad from the start and he's going nowhere.

Talking of KEIOC earlier, at the BU meeting tomorrow Trevor Skempton, architect and KEIOC, is to give a presentation about redeveloping GP as stated in this article.

Respected architect Trevor Skempton is also set to deliver a presentation outlining the viable modernisation of Everton's existing Goodison stadium at the meeting.

Skempton, currently a lecturer at the University of Liverpool, previously oversaw the expansion of St James Park and Villa Park during his involvement in the respective redevelopments of Newcastle and Birmingham city centre as well as working on the building of Liverpool One in his role at Liverpool City Council.
