New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I am not sure what point you are making.

Probably this point

Spurs stadium costs were around 300 million mate. London costs will be much higher as well. For the money we are paying I am sure it will be a fantastic stadium.

Add at least another £550m onto that figure and you are just about there.

Total scheme costs are now well over £1bn of which the stadium was around £850m ( but that was earlier this year before all the recent disasters)

Granted their land (the bits they didn't already own) probably cost a bit more than our dock will (even allowing them acquiring bits via compulsory purchase). They also had to factor paying Wembley £20m odd for use of facilities and had a season with slightly reduced capacity at the old WHL. But whichever way you cut it, pure design, build and fit out costs will likely be north of £800m. A portion of that is self inflicted (two pitches, cheese boards etc), the balance is just what a high end £60k stadium costs nowadays in the UK.

Short of Usmanov coming onboard, something clearly better than NWHL isn't happening on BMD, even if you do think we can get labourers 20% cheaper.

So no planning application is going in this year it seems fair to say, and funding is to be sourced 'maybe from the council, but other opportunities are being explored'. And more consultations to follow with "stakeholders".

How on earth does anyone stay enthused with a drab piss-take like that?

Because its happening.

Almost as big a piss take as two Russians on a day trip to Salisbury.

I'm sure the ground was reported at around 300m mate. The whole project is spiralling beyond 1bn but that's with many of the extras that don't relate to their stadium (and wouldn't with ours either).

disagree, a big reason goodison sells out is because the tickets for under 25's and over 65's are dirt cheap.
all this talk of another 20,000 fans suddenly appearing out of no where to see a brand new shiny stadium is a myth, there is no proof of this at all

So Goodison only sells out because we price our tickets accordingly with the wealth/wages of our fan base. What crazy theory that is, must be lies.

Or is it because out of the whole of the north west Everton only have 40,000 people who are bother to watch them?

Or is it the fact we're actually well supported throughout the UK and we happen to be decently* priced to watch

Turn it in mate, you're chatting wham.

*Should/could be cheaper.
