New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

West ham is completely different, they had a waiting list of over 50,000 fans, also had adult season tickets lower then £300 in London which is ridiculous.
We have a waiting list of 7,000 although many of these get matchday tickets through StubHub and Everton membership.

West ham got a free stadium, had a huge waiting list and slashed the prices on tickets which is why the attendances are so high. Completly different scenario to here
However, in London there are several high profile clubs available to anybody who wants to go to a game but is not an avid supporter.
In Liverpool there are two and Everton is already sold out every week with Goodison for all it's charm not exactly a big attraction to the casual supporter or visitor to the city who would like to take in a game.
The new stadium at BMD would change all that. The new ground will not only raise the profile of the club but will be used because of it's iconic location to raise the profile of the city... encouraging visitors to build their visit around a game at BMD.

I fall into the category of a visitor to the city and I am not sure that locals realise the amount of tourists that come to Liverpool.

50K would be conservative in my opinion. We would sell that out from the off with no room for growth.

We sell out 40K at Goodison Park, a stadium which has loads of really poor views and stands with poor facilities. I think we could sell a couple of thousand more as well if Goodison was a bit bigger.

A modern stadium at Bramley Moore would see an uplift beyond any latent demand Goodison has.

I think 55K would be acceptable to most of us, even though lots want more.
disagree, a big reason goodison sells out is because the tickets for under 25's and over 65's are dirt cheap.
all this talk of another 20,000 fans suddenly appearing out of no where to see a brand new shiny stadium is a myth, there is no proof of this at all

not really

So an extra 10k seats may generate between 6 to 8 million over 19 game's. In today's game selling seats isn't really as important as it once was.

We earn approx 100 million in TV deals and sponsorships each year. Player sales brings in more than match day earnings and tickets. I'm not saying we shouldn't worry, but if we had a 55k stadium and our average attendance was say 49k what would be the problem.

BS.

You up can go on StubHub right now and get tickets to most everton games, you can get tickets easily through the club for cup games.

Bottom line if fans want to go they go and I doubt there are 20,000 Fans waiting for a luxury stadium to be built before they come. Most of the fans I see there are working class people who have to budget spending on a season ticket
Get with the program lid, most Evertonians on here would have got the 'Wirral' reference as the joke it was meant to be, never mind.

Well, if we never build a stadium that big we will never be able to attract that many new fans will we?

Your lower capacity solution guarantees lower attendances.

Higher capacity allows for growth. Who knows what factors will be important in 10 years time.

50,000 is the right figure given our waiting list and demand for tickets.
The problem is your not going to spend 500m for 10,000 extra seats and you can't just say "20,000 fans will come".

Given that there'll be thousands more corporate tickets available it's still not just 10,000. With the premium for corporate tickets it'll be the equivalent of about 15,000 tickets.

Then there's the fact we should be incorporating the best conference facilities in the city and be in the prime location for money spinning concerts etc it all makes sense.

61,878 might be a bit too much but it'll be more than 50,000.

Also the fact we'll be using Uncle Uzzy's companies to build the thing then the cost won't be the same to us as other clubs with fewer connections. Liverpool have spent nearly £200m but are still stick in an ageing ground with p1ss poor facilities and no incentive for FSG to expand further.

£200m on that or around £400m for a brand new stadium in an iconic location....it's a no brainer really. There's a power shift happening.

Pretty much every new build sees an initial increase in attendance, it's up to the club to keep the attendance up then with success on the pitch.

..I think there’s currently a waiting list for season tickets. Not sure how big that is, but it suggests demand is greater than supply.

Another nothing update. You don’t need to consult the fans again, we’ve already told you what we want.

Either build the 60,000 stadium that we’ve asked for, or just come out and be honest and say you can’t afford it.

Bores me this ‘consult the fans again’ bollocks.
Is there consensus on 60K?
When did we get to a consensus and what is the consensus based on.
How much of the consensus based on the ambition of the club and the fans.
What part of this ambition is grounded in reality.

The consensus on size should be based on two things
1. How will it effect the atmosphere - will it be better for the fans and will it translate to more points and matches won.
2. Will the club be financially better off.
The questions are complexed and a lot has to be worked out before there are answers (what financial deals are going to be made, what's the access and the transport going to like, what type of design etc etc)
Its incredibly frustrating that we haven't heard more as you keep pointing out.
But I think we can't decided on what size we hear what other things have been sorted.

In general, I think the bigger you go the more sanitised the enviroment becomes, and less basis for the fans, businesses etc to create soul for the place
And you'd want to be sure your getting capacity (less 5% on average) to every game.

I don’t know why you are so worried about our stadium
It’s not like we are kicking people out of their homes to build an extension
